St Aidan's is part of the West River Community, on the west bank of 16 Mile Creek in Oakville.
We meet every Sunday morning for a family celebration of the Eucharist [Holy Communion]. The bell starts to ring at 9:55 am to gather us to draw nearer to God. |
 |
 |
Our worship begins on Sunday mornings at 10am in the church, with the choir and organ.
Children go downstairs to Sunday school or nursery, and come back in time to share communion with their families.
More about the service. |
After the service, we meet for coffee, tea and snacks in the corner of the church, or, on special occasions, in the downstairs room.
It's a good time to catch up on news and on our many projects. |

We all have special projects. This year the Sunday school students collected [a lot of] small change to buy livestock and school supplies for a third world village.
Here are two of them thanking the visiting bishop for a contribution. |
We share in the responsibility as good stewards, inside, on the right, working on the office, and outside, below, the spring basement and garden cleanup crew.
It was a very nice day for it and we got a lot done.

Our fundraising activities include a Christmas sale, the neighbourhood garage sale, and our very popular lunches and teas.
We like to sing, formally and informally. The music provided by the choir and organ is an integral part of our worship. |
It was great fun last year when the choir led us in "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer", wearing reindeer horns and dancing around the church! |
 |
 |
We like to catch up on news, meeting informally after church and on special occasions, and formally to plan our activities through the year.
Our life at St Aidan's is not only within the church.
|
Other programs include those for bible study, for seniors and children, support groups and outreach to other organisations. More
As part of the West River community we welcome many local groups and organisations to our building.
