Taizé Prayer at St. Aidan's Church, Oakville
Come and pray with us in the quiet of the evening.
Taizé at St. Aidan's combines candlelight, silence, and Scripture with simple chants to help build awareness of God's presence in ourselves and in community.
Come and experience a beautiful form of prayer,
inspired by the monastic tradition in Taizé, France.
(c) Ateliers et presses de Taizé, 71250 Taizé, France

We meet each month, on the third Friday, at 7:30 pm, from September through June, to pray together aloud, and in silence. We pray for healing and wholeness for ourselves, for others and for the world.
Over the years this form of prayer has developed into a style that is both meditative and easily accessible to all people. It involves singing and listening to the word of God in an atmosphere of silence and peace. People may kneel or sit, taking whatever posture is most comfortable for them.
